The journal accepts manuscripts deposited in preprint repositories, such as SciELO Preprints, provided they are not under simultaneous peer review at another journal. Examples include medRxiv, bioRxiv, preprint, SciELO Preprints, etc.

All manuscripts previously deposited in preprint repositories will undergo mandatory peer review and must comply with all of the journal’s requirements and editorial processes.

When submitting the manuscript, the corresponding author must state in the Letter to the Editor whether the manuscript has been deposited on a preprint server and provide the corresponding Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
