Holds a MD from the Universidade Federal do Pará. He completed his Master´s Degree at Carlos III Institute-Madrid-Spain, a MBA in Health Services Management at Fundação Getúlio Vargas, and a Ph.D. at Universidade de São Paulo. He is Affiliated Professor at Universidade Federal de São Paulo and Full Professor of Emergency Medicine at Centro Universitário São Camilo. Dr. Guimarães main areas of interest include Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and Clinical Research in Cardiology.
