Holds a MD from the School of Medicine of the Universidade de São Paulo. He completed his Master’s degree, PhD and Full-professor thesis in Digestive System Surgery and Coloproctology at the Department of Gastroenterology of the School of Medicine of the University of Sao Paulo. His main areas of interest include Coloproctology, Colorectal Surgical Oncology, Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgery, TransanalEndoscopic Microsurgery, Colorectal Cancer, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Pelvic Floor Disorders, Anorectal Disorders.
