Graduated in Biological Science at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, completed a PhD in Biochemistry and Immunology at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, finished her postdoctoral training at the Fundação Oswaldo Cruz and Stanford University, and then attended an internship at the University of Cambridge, UK. She is full professor at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Dr. Dutra has experience in Immunology with emphasis in Cell Immunology focusing on studies on mechanism of pathogenic or protective responses generation in human disease, especially in Chagas Disease and Leishmaniasis.
