Graduated in Medicine with residencies in Psychiatry, Internal Medicine and Neurology, MSc and PhD in Cellular Biology with a post-doc in Immunology. Before joining the Biggs Institute, he was faculty at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. His clinical and research interests include Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Neurology, Neuroimmunology, and Neurodegenerative diseases.
